Dynamic Load Management and Solar Power Utilization in EV Charging

  • Solar power - utilize the electricity generated by solar panels to charge your electric vehicle
  • Dynamic load management - the go-e Controller monitors other household electricity consumption and optimizes charging power

By combining the go-e Controller with a go-e charging station (Gemini and Home products), you can utilize dynamic load management and automatically adjust charging power according to the available capacity in your home. If other household appliances consume more power, e.g., an electric sauna heater, the charging station's power will automatically decrease, so you don't have to worry about the main fuses blowing. Additionally, the go-e Controller allows you to utilize solar power for charging your electric vehicle, meaning you can use the system's surplus production for EV charging.

The Go-e Controller ensures that surplus electricity from your solar power system is used to charge your electric vehicle. This way, you get the most out of your investment in a solar power system, as you can utilize all the electricity produced by your system.

With dynamic load management, the go-e Controller prevents overloading of the house's fuses by automatically reducing the charging power of electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids connected to the go-e charger during detected load peaks and increasing it again later.

The go-e controller is compatible with all go-e chargers (Gemini and HOME series) and all types of inverters and AC energy storage systems.

Consumption Monitoring

The Go-e Controller also allows you to monitor other consumption in your home. This enables even smarter control of electric vehicle charging in conjunction with the go-e charging station, depending on the solar energy produced and other power needs of the home.

But you can also simply use the controller to monitor various devices (EMS). For example, you can monitor the consumption of a heat pump, air conditioning system, or sauna. 1- or 3-phase operation of the controller is possible. In the case of three-phase electrical networks, you can monitor 3 additional devices (e.g., inverter, energy storage, and heat pump), and in single-phase electrical networks, up to 5 additional devices.

Optimizing Self-Consumption: Efficient Use of Solar Energy Surplus

With the Go-e Controller, you can charge excess solar energy into the batteries of electric vehicles via one or more go-e chargers. If your solar panels produce more energy than you need to power your household appliances, you can use the system's surplus electricity to charge your electric vehicle while saving nature and money.

Automatic Phase Switching (Gemini and Home Series)

If your solar power system produces at least 1.4 kW of excess energy, the go-e controller sends this information to the go-e charger, which then handles the actual charging process with the surplus solar power. The controller automatically switches between single-phase and three-phase charging depending on the available current. This way, you can achieve high self-consumption even with low surplus solar energy production. As soon as your solar power system produces enough surplus power, the controller switches to three-phase charging.

Convenient Control via App

Set your preferences for solar power production and consumption directly through the app on your smartphone. You can also use the app to access all controller settings and adjust them to your needs. Whether it's dynamic load management or electricity consumption in your home, you can monitor and keep track of everything.

For those with programming skills, additional interfaces are available, such as local HTTP API, Modbus TCP, and MQTT, allowing you to gain even more control over your EV charging. With the optional cloud service, the controller's functions can be further optimized.
