Dynamic load management – charge faster without overloading

The Equalizer monitors the entire property’s electricity consumption in real time via the smart meter’s HAN or P1 port and automatically adjusts the Charge Max’s charging power. When the rest of the home’s consumption (heat pump, stove, sauna, etc.) is low, charging power increases to the maximum. When consumption rises, power is automatically reduced—preventing the main fuse from blowing and eliminating the need to upgrade the electrical connection.

The HAN/P1 port on Finnish smart electricity meters usually needs to be activated by the electricity network operator. The Equalizer is compatible with most smart meters used in Finland (check compatibility on Easee’s support pages).

ISO 15118 – Plug & Charge and future readiness

Charge Max supports the ISO 15118 standard, enabling:

• Plug & Charge functionality (automatic authentication and charging without a separate app or RFID card, when supported by both the car and charging station)
• Readiness for future bidirectional charging (V2X / V2H)
• Smarter communication between the car and charging station

This makes Charge Max a clearly future-proof choice compared with older models that lack ISO 15118 support or offer more limited support.
