Collection: Power charging (DC)

Power charging (Charging method 4, Mode 4) offers a very fast and efficient way to charge the battery of a fully electric car. Charging takes place in a permanently installed charger directly with direct current (DC), which enables the use of significantly higher currents and powers compared to other charging methods. This charging method is most commonly used at gas stations, where electric car drivers can quickly top up their battery charge on long journeys.

Current power chargers supply hundreds of amperes of direct current to the car, and the charging power typically varies from 50 kilowatts to several hundred kilowatts. This makes it possible to fully charge the battery of a fully electric car in as little as 30 minutes, which makes it an excellent solution in situations where fast charging is needed.

Although charging method 4 offers significant time savings, it is important to note that it can consume significantly more battery in continuous use compared to other charging methods. For this reason, charging method 4 is especially recommended for situations where speed is a priority, such as during long journeys or urgent charging needs.
