Dynamic load management and utilization of solar electricity in car charging

  • Solar electricity - use the electricity produced by solar panels to charge your car
  • Dynamic load management - go-e Controller monitors the home's other electricity consumption and optimizes charging power

By connecting the go-e Controller with the go-e charging station (Gemini and Home products), you can take advantage of dynamic load management and use it to automatically adjust the charging power according to the capacity available at home. If other devices in the home consume more power, e.g. the electric sauna heater, the power of the charging station is automatically adjusted to a lower level, so you don't have to worry about the main fuses burning. In addition, the go-e Controller enables the utilization of solar electricity to charge an electric car, which means you can use the excess production of the system to charge an electric car

The Go-e Controller ensures that excess electricity from the solar system is used to charge your electric car. In this way, you get the most out of your investment in a solar power system, because you get to use all the electricity produced by your system.

With dynamic load balancing, the go-e Controller prevents overloading of the house's power supply by automatically reducing the charging power of electric cars and plug-in hybrids connected to the go-e charger during detected load peaks and increasing it again later.

The go-e controller is compatible with all go-e chargers (Gemini and HOME series) and all types of inverters and AC energy storage.

Consumption monitoring

With Go-e Controller, it is possible to monitor your home's consumption. Thanks to this, the charging processes of electric cars can be controlled even more intelligently in interaction with the go-e charging station, depending on the solar energy produced and the other power needs of the home. But you can also simply use the controller to monitor different devices. For example, you can monitor the consumption of a heat pump, air conditioning system or sauna. 1- or 3-phase operation of the controller is possible. In the case of three-phase power networks, you can monitor 3 additional devices (e.g. inverter, energy storage and heat pump), in single-phase power networks up to 5 additional devices.

Optimizing own consumption: Efficient use of surplus solar energy

With the help of the Go-e Controller, you charge additional solar energy to the batteries of electric vehicles via one or more go-e chargers. If your solar panels produce more energy than you need to run your home appliances, you can use the surplus electricity produced by the system to charge your electric car and save nature and money at the same time.

Automatic phase change (Gemini and Home series)

If your solar system produces at least 1.4 kW of extra energy, the go-e controller sends this information to the go-e charger, which then takes care of the actual charging process with the excess solar power. The controller automatically switches between single-phase and three-phase charging depending on the current available. In this way, you can achieve high self-consumption even with low solar surplus energy production. As soon as your solar system produces enough extra power, the controller switches to three-phase charging.

Convenient control using the app

Set your preferences for the production and consumption of solar electricity via the app directly using the smartphone app. You can also use the app to access all the settings of the controller and adjust them according to your needs. Whether it's dynamic load management or electricity consumption in your home, you can monitor and keep an eye on everything.

For those with programming skills, there are additional interfaces, such as local HTTP API, Modbus TCP and MQTT, which allow you to gain even more control over charging your electric car. With the help of an optional cloud service, the functions of the controller can be further optimized.
