Dynamic load management and utilization of solar power in car charging
- Solar power - use the electricity produced by solar panels to charge your car
- Dynamic load management - go-e Controller monitors other electricity consumption in the home and optimizes charging power
By combining the go-e Controller with the go-e charging station (Gemini and Home products), you can take advantage of dynamic load management and automatically adjust the charging power according to the available capacity in your home. If other devices in your home consume more power, such as an electric sauna heater, the charging station's power is automatically adjusted to a lower level, so you don't have to worry about the main fuses blowing. In addition, the go-e Controller allows you to utilize solar power to charge an electric car, meaning you can use the system's excess production to charge an electric car.
The Go-e Controller ensures that the surplus electricity from your solar system is used to charge your electric car. This way, you get the most out of your solar system investment, as you get to use all the electricity your system produces.
With dynamic load balancing, the go-e Controller prevents overloading of the house's power supply by automatically reducing the charging power of electric cars and plug-in hybrids connected to the go-e charger during detected load peaks and increasing it again later.
The Go-e controller is compatible with all Go-e chargers (Gemini and HOME series) as well as all types of inverters and AC energy storage.
Consumption monitoring
With the Go-e Controller, it is possible to monitor the consumption of your home. This allows the charging processes of electric cars to be controlled even more intelligently in interaction with the go-e charging station depending on the solar energy produced and other power needs of the home. But you can also simply use the controller to monitor various devices. For example, you can monitor the consumption of a heat pump, air conditioning system or sauna. The controller can operate in 1 or 3 phases. In the case of three-phase electrical networks, you can monitor 3 additional devices (e.g. inverter, energy storage and heat pump), in single-phase electrical networks up to 5 additional devices.
Optimizing self-consumption: Efficient use of surplus solar energy
With the Go-e Controller, you can charge excess solar energy into your electric vehicle batteries via one or more go-e chargers. If your solar panels produce more energy than you need to run your home appliances, you can use the excess electricity generated by the system to charge your electric vehicle, saving the environment and money at the same time.
Automatic phase change (Gemini and Home series)
If your PV system produces at least 1.4 kW of excess energy, the go-e controller sends this information to the go-e charger, which then takes care of the actual charging process with the surplus solar power. The controller automatically switches between single-phase and three-phase charging depending on the available power. This way, you can achieve high self-consumption even with low surplus solar energy production. As soon as your PV system produces enough excess power, the controller switches to three-phase charging.
Convenient control via app
Set your preferences for solar power generation and consumption directly from the app on your smartphone. You can also use the app to access all the controller settings and adjust them to your needs. Whether it's dynamic load management or electricity consumption in your home, you can monitor and keep an eye on everything.
For the more advanced programmers, there are additional interfaces such as local HTTP API, Modbus TCP and MQTT that allow you to gain even more control over charging your electric vehicle. With the optional cloud service, the controller's functions can be further optimized.
