Versatile Monitoring and Control Options

Kostal KSEM enables optimal visualization of a property's energy consumption and solar energy production in the Kostal Solar Portal and Kostal Solar APP. By integrating the meter into the Solar Portal, you get comprehensive information that you can use, for example, in load control, energy storage management and intelligent charging of electric cars at the ENECTOR charging station.

Compatibility and Flexibility

Kostal KSEM is compatible with many Kostal features. It supports connected battery operation control, dynamic active power control and 24-hour home consumption measurement. It also enables convenience functions for the ENECTOR charging station.

Real-time Data Transfer

Kostal KSEM uses the RTU (RS485) bus for Modbus data transfer in real time. The device includes two RS485 outputs (A+B) and two LAN connections, which ensures reliable and fast data transfer. The Smart Meter portal is logged in with the IP address, and the devices are configured from the drop-down menu via ports A (e.g. PLENTICORE PLUS) and B (e.g. ENECTOR charging station).

Things to note

The energy meter must be activated when the inverter is first put into operation. If the meter is activated later, a personal service code is required. The code can be obtained by registering in the Kostal Solar Terminal and assigning installer rights to the profile.

Kostal KSEM is compatible with Kostal Plenticore and Piko CI inverters.
